Apple Kvass

A beverage with the sweet taste of your childhood. Do you remember your youth, those endless summer days in long queues near the kvass barrels, when you couldn’t wait to get a precious glass of kvass… Cold and bubbling, with the sweet smell of fresh bread.

Ingredients for apple kvass:

  • 3 liters of “Wave of Baikal” boiled water
  • 1 liter of apple juice

  • 2 teaspoons of instant coffee

  • 1 teaspoons of dry yeast

How to make apple kvass:

Boil 3 liters of water, and let sit till warm. Add the coffee and yeast to the warm water in a 4 litre pan, and add the apple juice. Add sugar and mix until disolved. Cover — leaving a small hole for the kvass to brew for 12 hours at room temperature. Then filter it through dense tissue, and refrigerate. When chilled it’s so delicious, just like our childhood remembers.
